Music Ministry

It came to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying, For He is good; for His mercy endureth forever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the House of God (2 Chronicles 5:13-14)

The music ministry is to act as a vehicle to usher in the presence of God. It is to set and establish an atmosphere that is conductive to worship, enabling:

  • The presence of God to move freely among the congregation.
  • Each person in the congregation to experience Christ on a personal level, preparing the people for the delivery of the word of God.
It is not an end in itself, but neither is it a means of filling gaps in the worship service. The music ministry should not be used as a piece of scenic background, but rather as an active and integral part of the worship service.

As a music ministry, our primary mission is to magnify and glorify Jesus Christ (Colossians 3: 16-17) in everything we do. It is also the mission of the music ministry to facilitate the fulfillment of the overall mission and vision of this church through the delivery of:

  • Spiritual and spirit-led music that enhances the worship service.
  • Christ-centered music that boldly shares the "Good News" with those who are lost.
  • Training that equips, empowers and enables our musicians and singers to grow and realize their full potential in the area of music ministry.
